Yallingup has been rumored to mean ‘Place of Love’ in the local Aboriginal dialect because of its popularity as a wedding and honeymoon destination in Western Australia. In fact, Yallingup really means ‘Place of Caves’

  Plan a Winery Tour:

 Wine tours are the most enjoyable part of your Yallingup visit. Swings and Roundabouts have picnic tables and a wide grass for the kids to run on. Swings and Roundabouts are close to the Cape Lavender tearooms and the Canal Rocks, you can enjoy being chauffeured around the area to Windows Estate which has exquisite yet subtle wines.

• Ngilgi Cave, Yallingup:

It is a must-do when visiting Margaret River to explore one of its famed subterranean caves. Yallingup’s Ngilgi cave (pronounced ‘Neel-gee’) is a must-see attraction, and a tour of the cave is included in your admission price. The cave’s acoustics are an amazing thing to experience for the kids. At the end of your tour, you are free to wander and find it quite colorful and well-lit.

• Canal Rocks:

Canal Rocks is another must-see near Yallingup. The seawater has worn these fragile rocks for thousands of years, forming natural waterways at Canal Rocks, near the first crisscrossed Canal Rock. There are bathrooms but no shade in the summer or wind shelter in the winter.

You can have a great time hiking up the cliffs and looking down. This is a natural playground. Remember that this shore region is hazardous and unpredictable, so stay safe. Canal Rocks is readily accessible from Caves Road. On the corner lies the Cape Lavender tea house. A date exploring Canal Rocks and then dining at one of Yallingup’s numerous eateries can be one of the most romantic activities in Yallingup.

Yallingup has a Margaret River labyrinth. It is the gigantic Maze with stunning landscaping. This place will keep the children happy for hours while mum and dad rest their feet.

• Country Life Farm:

Country Life Farm is a fun family day out. You may hand-feed the farm animals, including llamas, alpacas, goats, sheep, donkeys, ponies, cows, and Stan the Highland Steer. Upon arrival, the staff will personally explain where everything is and what’s included.
